About Kedartal Trek Packages

Kedartal Trek, situated in the Garhwal region of theHimalayas, Uttarakhand. It is a spectacular glacial lake surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks like Thalay Sagar, Bhrigupanth and Manda Parvat. This emerald lake is perched at an altitude of around 4,750 meters (15,584 feet) above sea level. The Kedartal Trek is considered quite tough, due to the rugged terrain, high altitudes and lack of proper trails at some stretches. Trekkers need to be physically fit and acclimatized.

While it is strenuous, the rewards are immense-pristine Himalayan landscapes, azure lakes, views of mighty peaks and serene meadows. Additionally, the Kedartal Lake contains crystal clear waters offering mind-blowing views of the lake which is akin to picturesque mountains and provides breathtaking reflections of the mighty Himalayan Peaks.

This trek might be challenging for novice as well as experienced trekkers both, which is why this trek is made for experienced trekkers at most. Kedartal Trek is 18 kms long, but the beauty and experience is worth giving a try. Furthermore, the legends say that Lord Shiva created the Kedartal Lake as a contribution to Bhagirathi River, and the lake is the origin of Kedar Ganga, a tributary to Bhagirathi.
